Judy Whitehead has been a partner at Graham Thompson since 1990, and the firm’s Managing Partner since 1996. As Managing Partner she oversees the firm’s operations, providing leadership of the firm’s strategic direction. Formerly a Litigation Partner, her work focuses on advising special clients, mainly the firm’s high net worth private clients.

She has served on a number of private and public boards including the Bahamas Financial Services Board, the National Woman’s Advisory Council, as Deputy Chair of the College of the Bahamas, Deputy Chair of the National Health Insurance Authority and as an acting Justice of The Bahamas Supreme Court.

In addition she presently serves as a director on a number of private boards including the Bahamas First Insurance Group, the Lyford Cay Foundation, is a member of the Lyford Cay Club Board of Governors, and the World Services Group.

Recent transactions include:

  • Negotiations with the Government of the Bahamas and structuring of a large multi-use development in the southern Bahamas;
  • Negotiations with the Government of the Bahamas in connection with a multi-use development in the Cable Beach area;
  • Providing advice to high net worth individuals on marital agreements and other strategic planning agreements; and
  • Negotiations with the Government of the Bahamas in connection with the establishment of a new port in the Bahamas.
